Volleyball has always played a major role in Anouk's life: growing up watching her father who was a coach and used to play for the French national team, later as a ball child on sand and today as an absolute top player in beachvolleyball.
The athlete with roots in the Bernese Oberland and the Carribean islands of Guadeloupe celebrated her first international success as a block player. In 2012, she became U21 World Champion, and at her first Olympic Games in Rio 2016, she reached 9th place together with Isabelle Forrer.
Since 2017, Anouk plays as a defensive player alongside Joana. Together they have reached even higher achievements: in 2019 in Moscow, they won their first World Tour title together, in 2020 the European Championships, in 2021 the Olympic bronze medal in Tokyo. But their hunger for success is not yet satisfied. «It would be an absolute dream to win Olympic gold in Paris.»
Anouk is also extremely influential for the sport and her team off the field: she is president of the first international players' association (IBVPA), which she co-founded in 2017. The 31-year-old is studying communications and business administration at the University of Fribourg and takes on management tasks for the team. Which shows: she's not only a pro at beachvolleyball, but also at multitasking.
